SCA’s Libresse Maxi feminine hygiene towels proved to be best in test in the Swedish market when seven major brands on the market were scientifically tested.
The test was made by the Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP)* on request by the Swedish web-based consumer site ‘Testfakta’ that make impartial scientifically based tests of consumer products.
“We are always very pleased about this type of publicity which reminds the consumer that Libresse is 'Best in test',” says Ulrika Kolsrud, Regional Marketing Manager Libresse.
The towels tested together with Libresse Maxi were Always Maxi (Procter & Gamble), Coop (private label of Nordic Consumer Cooperative), X-tra (Coop’s private label budget sanitary towel), Kronosept (Kronosept, Swedish brand and private label), Euroshopper (private label of Nordic retail company ICA) and Up to date (Hyga Sweden AB).
The test proved that Libresse Maxi was the best absorbing towel. It also leaked least liquid, a factor that is important for the feel of the towel. A moist or wet towel is less comfortable. Alltogether Libresse got the overall best test result.
According to Testfakta's estimates Swedish women spend approximately SEK 21,000 (EUR 2,275) on feminine protection in a lifetime of periods (i.e. SEK 600 [EUR 65] per year for 35 years).
