Sorbent supports cancer research in Australia

SCA's tissue brand Sorbent is a supporter of Australia's Daffodil day 2007, raising funds and awareness to support research, education and services for Australia's Cancer Council. Through this initiative, SCA Hygiene Australasia will be donating over AUD 100,000 to support the causes of the event.

Daffodil-decorated packagingA limited edition of Daffodil-decorated Sorbent toilet packs and facial tissues have been released in Australian supermarkets to coincide with the event.

"We're delighted to be able to help this important cause. Just by picking up a pack during their next grocery shop, consumers can join us in supporting Daffodil Day and in giving hope to the one in three Australians touched by cancer," says Jessica Severin, Assistant Brand Manager, at SCA Hygiene Australasia.

The Cancer Council's Daffodil Day is the largest merchandise-based national fundraising event of its kind for cancer research, education, and patient support in the Southern Hemisphere. The event had its beginnings in Canada around 30 years ago and is now held in eight countries including the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Denmark and Australia.
